To often SLers pull each other down. Take Facebook for example. This week I have watched a few things that made me so sad. I seen someone defend a person because they seen a comment they thought was nasty. Now it would have been easy for the person who posted the comment to explain they are close friends with the person and it was only a joke and the person would know that. No such luck, they decided to attack the poor sod that only tried to defend a person. They turned it all into something they should have been ashamed of but I doubt they ever would be. Even dragged another in to help them make it worse. They would say they had every right, sad they could not see themselves as the bully they showed themselves to be.
Another person posted about how miffed they had been over something, now that could have been it, it should have been it. Not likely, someone decided to create drama by contacting a person so they could come over and attack. What should have been a nothing post turned into popcorn time.
Also seen a person run over another calling them racist. Why ? because they seen two friends talk about something and one said to the other they had ' swung in a tree like a monkey.' As they said this to a person of colour the bullying began. Now the person who said this did swing from a tree just like you see a chimpanzee do. The person of colour knew what their friend meant and laughed about it. So why did a stranger decided to drag the one who commented ? was it because they took it for granted it was a white person and even then  it was still no excuse.
I seen a creator be dragged because they refused to lower the price of last years Halloween items. No one has a right to tell any creator what to charge for anything, they have no right to demand they rig for any body or make something in any colour - but all to often SLers feel it is their duty to try to bully creators into doing what they want.
These people see themselves as better than others, right fighters who will call out plebs whenever they feel like it. What they really are doing is showing themselves to be bullies.
How about treating others as you would like them to treat you. To show kindness, understand. Explain things if needed. What we need to stop doing is turning things into a public shitshow.
You see a person struggling, bring them under your umbrella, you never know the day you might need someone to do that for you.
Never look down on anyone unless you are helping them up.
