Great minds think alike, they say.  In the case of Alienbear’s Design, Bliss  Couture, and Baiastice, three fantastically great minds think beautifully alone and amazingly together. The details here are incredible, from the intricately made prims of the jewelry (look at that crown–it takes two attachments to accommodate all of that stunning beauty) to the realistic floral patterns of the prim attachments to the gown, to the perfect makeup.

Alienbear Gupte recently created the Mimmi Jewelry Sets to go with Amutey Decuir’s  Bliss Couture Mimmi Gown.  They both used deep gem tones which complement each other beautifully.  The gowns come in several jewel colours whilst the jewelry sets come in Gold (White or Black), Dark, and Platinum (Red, Teal, Black, Sapphire and more).

I have always been a fan of Elisabeth’s and Zuri’s (quite evident if you just do a search in my archives). In fact, it was not too long ago that I blogged about the Martini Hunt at Elisabeth’s, and talking about hunts, if you have not heard of Zuri’s by now, then this will be a good time time to get aquainted, starting with a hunt at the store! Really quick post for today! I went shopping at fri.day and got new hair and a halter top. Red, of course.

My friend Gogo has been playing with SL shadows a lot lately, with stunning results. Although shadows are cool, I had not touched them for a while because the lack of anti-aliasing always really bugged me. I was really pleased to see from her shots, however, that Linden Lab has improved on this a lot! Shadow edges are actually coming out pretty smooth now, it looks fantastic.

So I had to try it out for myself. I’m absolutely loving how shadows look in the 2.x viewers!!!

I took this shot on my sim, Kuu Ipo. I have a family of wild pigs up on a mountain behind my store! <3 I love having animals in SL, you’ll find them all over the place on Kuu Ipo.

And without further ado….

The Deviance Elemenatlist Silks!  Deviance recently released this yummy new silk that delves right into fantasy!  It reminded me so much of a elven fantasy world that I just had to throw on my spiffy new Plastik Poet skins and poofy new Ploom Iris hair and snap some pretty pics!  So here’s the elf version of Roewan, strolling through a forgotten graveyard!  The set is gorgeous and totally prim which is a first for Deviance I think!  I’m rather partial to fully prim sets, I think it adds to the realism.  The top is a sexy high-collared number that splits at the breast bone and gives a sassy little side boobage!  The skirt is a gorgeous belt with single floor length silk panel!  Plus you get matching bracers and glowing scepter!   And to my added suprise, owner/designer Surreal LeShelle has fixed that pesky silk-in-the-butt-crack problem by adding a tiny bit of prim silk to the front and back which means… the bits are always covered!  Genius!  No detail was skimped in this set!  The textures are beautiful.  Scrolling floral patterns and beautiful silver or gold trim options, and several pretty colors to choose from!  And (Read more...)

Vorbemerkung:

Wer mich kennt, meinen Blog und die Einträge schon längere Zeit liest, weiß, dass ich Kleidung in SL nicht selbst erstellen kann, das habe ich schon oft freimütig zugegeben. Meine eigenen Kenntnisse in Sachen Fotobearbeitung sind mau, bei meinen eigenen Fotos matsche ich ein paar Filter drüber, viel mehr tue ich eigentlich nicht. Aber ich weiß von vielen Unterhaltungen mit Designern, wie aufwendig das sein kann und mancher Designer hat sich die Zeit genommen, mir ausführlich wichtige Schritte zu erklären und Stolperfallen aufzuzeigen.

Das, was ich also als Qualitätsarbeit bzeichne oder als Mist beurteile, bezieht sich auf das, was ich sehe. Als Kundin sehe.

June hat mir Anfang Juli ein Foto von sich in einem Shirt geschickt, das sie gerade gekauft hatte. Sie war mit Recht ziemlich sauer.

Ich überlegte kurz, wie ich damit umgehen soll.

Mich ärgerte die Dreistigkeit, mit der hier gegen Geld – auch wenn es nur ein paar Cent sind – in einem SL-Geschäft ein Kleidungstück angeboten wird, das ich und vermutlich jeder andere, der hinsieht, nicht mal tragen würde, wenn es sich um ein Freebie handelt.
