While I was still wearing my new Earthtones necklace I:
1) bought the Cecilia dress from Paper Couture and
2) got the new Pixeldolls group gift
so here they are together. The name “Sheila” is related to “Cecilia” so that was one reason to buy the dress - also the textures are soooo good, and the skirt hangs beautifully. The dress comes with a big lace collar, which I show in one picture.

“Cecilia” is also the name of a Simon and Garfunkel song, one which always used to cheer me up, so I went in search of some Simon & Gurfunkel memorabilia and found this album cover on “Rob’s Rock Island”. He’s created walkways amongst ice mountains, with little room settings containing pictures of different rock stars - a nice place to wander round (see below). This outfit features a couple of items I got free: the cardigan and the top from a pretty pink dress by Seldom Blue. Although I already had some silver shoes I couldn’t resist getting the Vinianis in silver, and the recent Earthtones release seemed to add the right touch.

Today is my 1st Rez Day so I’ve celebrated by buying one of the recent Digit Darkes releases, the Bauhaus dress. As I’m not a small avi I thought the yellow sash might not fit, but in fact it’s OK, and the (136 prim!) skirt is gorgeous. Perhaps I should have found an austere piece of SL architecture as a location, given the dress’ name, but it seemed to me a romantic look, so I went with misty moonlight instead.

I thought I would try to feature items in my inventory which I’ve bought, but never actually rezzed out of the “Objects” folder. So here you have a potter’s wheel: you sit on it (animated) for 5 minutes and you get a terracotta pot. It is L$275. Cute, but I haven’t found the right place for it; not sure this beach location is quite it, but it’s soothing.
The Kayoot Army sale items were really an excuse to get the necklace and the shoes which appeared on the feeds recently. I added the bracelets from a good-value set of 6.

I’ve been trying to get away from pink. This outfit really started with the intricate necklace, which is an orangey sort of red, so I had to be careful what to put next to it. This top with the raggedy edge was simple and it seemed to the right sort of style to go with the irregular shape of the necklace. I picked up the red theme in bracelet and shoes. I started by wearing a Last Call skirt with it - which I prefer really - but the larger pic shows a skirt that you can still buy, from the same place I got the top - it does go well with the bracelet, too. I liked both the hairstyles with this outfit, but the Magika one is more dramatic.

Is it me or has the new viewer made feet look better? Before that, even at size zero, bits of my feet used to sort of ooze out of the sides of Maitreya shoes, but now they are just perfect

I meant to avoid cute today, in fact when I saw the Glamorpuss post on Caverna Obscura on I was determined to go buy some stark black and white … but then I saw this dress which is a cross between a meadow and a butterfly, and that was that. It has a choice of sculptie sleeves, which I’m sure will be very pretty on a thinner, smaller avi, but I couldn’t get them to look right on me, so I threw on a shrug. The necklace had been one of those pieces that you try on but never seems quite right, so I was pleased I finally found an outfit it gelled with. There are also stockings with the outfit, which are a lovely colour. However, they leave a gap of bare thigh, and since I was wearing this outfit at a professional meeting where I’d be doing a lot of sitting I opted for these tights that I picked up free at a CSI sim.

I spend a lot of Linden at the Heart garden centre and these new illuminated star “plants” are so cute I thought they almost counted as a fashion accessory. I now have some white and pink ones suspended above my home, and this seemed the right place for the table I picked up at Honey Kitty the other day. At least, I feel pretty in this outfit. I’m also fond of the film (except I was always disappointed by Molly Ringwald’s last outfit: taking 2 perfectly OK party frocks and making one clunky prom dress out of them). Well, this isn’t supposed to be like any of her outfits, but it’s very pink. I started with the linen skirt, then it was a hunt to get a cardi that matched. When I found the right thing at Honey Kitty, I couldn’t resist the bag and I also bought a cute Honey Kitty table. The bangles in fact match 3 of the buttons. I started with long hair, but then decided I could wear this outfit when teaching if I put a more elegant hairstyle with it and dropped the bag, so I did.

For this outfit I started with my new Curious Kitties armwarmers and an elegant Alienbear group gift. They seemed to say “eveningwear”, which made it a wonderful excuse to buy the Pullet updo from Zero Style. I trawled through lots of skirts, including one from the Nyte n’Day Grace set, but that wasn’t swishy enough, and I ended up by keeping the Grace glitch pants but opting for loads of Digit Darkes tulle. I resisted an impluse to buy new shoes, as my Enkythings silver mules went perfectly well (there is also the point that you can’t actually see them under the dress
