I know I’ve been quite absent from the blog lately — if you’ve seen the new construction at Juicy lately, you’ll know why. No — I’m not doing the construction or anything like that — but I have to look at, cheer on the builder (Giana Paine) and that kind of important stuff!! We’re pretty excited about the new shopping area, and will let you know when it officially opens!
But — the real story here is that membership does indeed have its privileges! I took a break from work this morning when Antonia Marat put out the word that a preview of her newest skin was available for current group members only! Can I tell you how much I love this skin?? This really isn’t a proper skin review as I didn’t really examine all the bits — I generally keep all my bits covered
But, the face is beautiful and luminous — and I’m quite certain I do not do it justice with my photography. I can’t wait to see this skin released!

I went on a completely undisciplined shopping binge last night! It was kind of a convergence of events. I’ve had this lovely Mariposa set from Violet Voltaire in my inventory for awhile, and just happened to have tried it on yesterday. I’ve been lusting after these shoes from Armidi ever since I saw them… and then last night I saw this new release from Canimal on the feeds. I couldn’t stop myself … the rest is history. Did I mention I like flouncy skirts?? This outfit is actually sold as separates, and in several colors. I think I may need to do a little more shopping to round out the collection!

Artilleri was one of my first shopping destinations here, and is still one of my favorites. Antonia’s store is one of those places I just drop in regularly to look at! I’ve been eyeing several pieces for a long time, including this delightful dress — so when she said “sale”, there was no turning back!! Flouncy skirts, and pink skulls — what more could a girl want!!

Hey everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve put together a “look” post. I’ve been working on another little project, but just got the urge today to actually get dressed
I’m not sure what inspired me to put together this sorta street urchin look — it just evolved, and is pretty fun for me! I started out with this skirt from Hexed Alt (yes, was reminded of it by recent blog posts for the Hexed group gift). I think I’m relatively short, so the skirt is almost floor-length on me in the back — which is what I wanted, and why I bought it! It moves beautifully, and I think it will be a very flexible piece in putting together some different looks. I bought the fatpack, so I expect you’ll be seeing it again
Now, the thing that I’m really proud of is… I’m wearing a hat! I actually modded this hair to fit the hat. Yup — I’m pretty proud of myself. Hair is very scary the first time you hit the “edit” button — all those blue lines going everywhere! Turns out it was pretty painless, and didn’t even take all that long. (always, always make a copy of your hair before trying this!)
Have a great weekend!

So — Yesterday, I got the notice that eLDee had a set of three lovely tops on sale for L$3! I just happened to have exactly that much money in my account, so I knew what I had to do. This is a lovely top, with a lot of shimmer and floatiness (that’s a word, isn’t it?) I’m wearing the silver. I put it together with some of my favorite striped pants from Schadenfreude, and a spot of color provided by these great rainboots from UBU. And would you believe this is my first time wearing a tattoo? could be the start of something…. Have a great weekend, everyone!

For those of you in the US, today is Tax Day. This national holiday
inspired my Terminator-esque outfit this morning! (ok — Linda Hamilton probably wouldn’t have worn pink, but still…)
There are several pieces in this outfit that I just love, and have to mention specifically (this may be my longest post ever! but there are a few things that aren’t obvious from the pic, so bear with me!). I started with the new striped leather pants from Renegade. They really do look like leather pants! I neglected to show you the rear view, but they really do wrinkle and stretch like leather would. They come in several colors — I’m wearing the silver stripe.
I know I blogged the pink latex jacket from Dark Eden already — but I forgot to mention it comes with a vest version as well. It is probably obvious, but this is a prim vest, so its great for layering — you can still wear all three upperbody clothing layers with it. As promised, after getting the skelebeater freebie at the Starlust opening, I ran right over to pick up the pink version
I think it looks great with the vest (which I also love because it doesn’t hide whatever you wear under it).
Are these the most feminine combat-ish boots you’ve ever seen? They come in high and low version in the same package — and you can purchase a rusty metal version separately.
The belt from Quixotic Trance is a lot of fun. I got one of their belts (which I love) in a freebie pack once, and visited the store to see what else they had. This fun “seatbelt” belt caught my attention. Altho’ it came pre-tinted in a purple check, the package also includes a greyscale, tintable version — it goes with everything! I believe you can also modify the textures on the buckle.
Finally, I want to mention these great glasses from PrimOptic. What I love about them (like several of the pieces in this outfit) is the amazing flexibility. All I really had to choose was the shape and frame style I liked. After that, with the purchase of that single pair of glasses, I can change the lens and frame color, the opacity, shininess or mirror effect, blinginess, and there are even a couple of “gadets” included, such as flight enhancer, online monitor, and proximity sensor. Linda Hamilton would definitely have wanted a pair of these!

Hello everybody! I’ve been trying hard to work on my inventory — but am completely overwhelmed! So, like any good fashionista-in-training, I went shopping! I decided to visit a new-to-me place, Bare Rose Tokyo. Somebody should have warned me! I could easily have doubled my wardrobe problem
The choices here were overwhelming — and so many fun things
I’m always on a quest for things that I can wear in my Caledonian home, and this outfit caught my eye immediately. The details are delightful, and the price is very affordable for a girl on a budget.
I’m wearing black — the jacket also comes in Red and Purple. The outfit includes a hat, but I (and my big hair) haven’t quite figured out how to get along with hats yet
[hmm... now back to inventory-cleaning]

You’ve all seen by now that the Starlust Motel opened this weekend! Spectacular build –I loved it, and suffered thru all the grid glitchiness to get a look at it! What a fun concept
I haven’t had time to try them all on yet, but wanted to show you my favorite freebie thus far — the Ultraviolet Skelebeater from Schadenfraude. I’m wearing the white version, but it also comes in black. The graphics on this shirt are fabulously detailed. In Allegory’s usual style, you get the tank on all possible layers, including tucked and untucked versions. You can bet I’ll be heading over to Allegory’s shop for some of the other colors [I'm thinking pink!]. {btw — the tank is a perfect match for her striped pants, another of my wardrobe faves!}
Be sure to get over to the Starlust this weekend!!

How can I begin to tell you how much I love, love, love this jacket from Dark Eden!?! I feel like I should be going out to conquer the galaxy in it! This is the special RFL version, but I recall that it came in different colors. Pink, of course, is my favorite color anyway! The box comes with two different sizes, so the fit was a breeze. And the texturing is wonderfully interesting. I love jackets as layering pieces (meaning they don’t cover up everything underneath them) — and this one is just spectacular!

Salvia Homewood recently released a great series of tees with graphics of Mexican Loteria cards on them. I’ve always loved the colorful graphics of these cards, and couldn’t wait to put together a look for them.
