Well things are starting to brighten up on the grid. Bright, cheery colors can be found everywhere. Thank goodness, we can now pack away those furry boots, mufflers, and mittens.
Many designers are creating great clothing with soft colors and textures. I found this cute offering during the Vain Grid-wide Easter Egg Hunt a few weeks ago. I am just getting to it in my inventory and what a treat it is!
It’s from Artilleri and Antonia Marat. I’m an admirer of her work and this darling dress is no exception. Done in one of my favorite colors, pink of course, this dress just screams for the warmer weather and sunnier feel of spring. Complete with the cute little hair accessory, a pretty pink flower, this ensemble is perfect for strolling through the imaginative gardens in-world.

I love SL Fashion. Even though I am not wed to some of the more well known designers and labels, I am very loyal to the designers I love. Loyal to the point where I own just about all of their creations, even the ones that did’t really look as hot as they (or I) thought (LOL).
So it really wasn’t a mystery to me when I flipped through the pages of Second Style’s latest issue to find one of my favorite designers had been honored. Evelyn Edelman, creator of Big Booty Big Money, has been named “Best New Fashion Designer.”
Big Booty Big Money has been filling my inventory since I rezzed in-world over a year ago. Evelyn really has a keen eye and a very fun imagination. Her store is a wonderful place with lots of colorful, playful, and interesting designs. She does an excellent job on making those funny images dancing in our heads come to life in a very wearable, fashiony way!
Hair featured here is by Aden, who took the honor of Second Style’s “Best New Hair.” Indeed, I own several hairs from Aden and they all give me a wonderfully different look.
Kudos to Big Booty Big Money and to Aden!
Check my Flickr page for my small hommage to BBBM and Aden. Check out the latest issue of Second Style magazine for more honors and winners.

Sooo… I am a huge 80’s fan. I love 80’s music and can sing just about every tune from that period. Yes, sad I know. So that is why I was so psyched to head on over to the grand re-opening of Pin Ups Nightclub and Burleseque Club. The theme was 80’s prom night.
I didn’t really feel like get fantasically dressed-up, so I threw on an old dress from Pin Up Dolls and added some leggings from Mirror’s to give it 80’s flair. Added some hair from Old Gravy (ahh, wish they would come back) and the look was definitely retro! I think this is something Madonna might have worn *giggles.*
DJ Ketsu was spinning those tunes I love so much. So many people!! The grid kept crashing and SL kept refusing to let me log back in. Can I tell you that I crashed 3 times?!?! Insanity. Can’t a pixelated woman have any fun anymore?
This was a quick snapshot I took right before I crashed. Wasn’t able to get a shot off on time… but Ketsu was crowned Prom Queen and Draco was crowned Prom King. The club was packed and everyone looked great!!

Now didn’t I say that I was NOT shopping anymore? *sigh*
Well I broke my promise just a tinsy bit. But it was only one item. But believe me, this was a calculated purchase. I have been sooo good. I have practiced serious restraint over the past few days, avoiding freebies and all. So there, leave me alone and let me relish in my purchase!
Actually, who could say no to this cute little number. I found this adorable dress while strolling through the SantaMonica mall. The colors just grabbed my attention. After searching through my inventory (don’t get me started), I found the most wonderful hair from Soulfire to bring out the asian-insipired theme of the dress. I think the animated paper fan is a nice touch too, cooling me off on these warm spring days.
Now let’s be clear. I really didn’t need the dress. But I just had to have it, its unusual in its look and really does add something special to my wardrobe. But I hate breaking promises I have made to myself. I stopped by the Zen garden to easy my mind and anxiety level. The calmness of the water and the lushness of the flowers and trees did wonders for my cyber-soul.
I’m just going to dust myself up & jump back on the wagon. Let’s hope I don’t fall off again, LOL!
