End of the Road

A good run while it lasted . I got further than I ever thought I would.

Here we are almost to the 3rd phase. The list goes from 15 down to the final 5. Never would I have imagined that little ole me would not only sign up for the Miss SL Ebony pageant, but that I’d get this far! Thankfully there will be no waiting as the finalist will be announced at the end of the round. Wish me luck!

A few weeks ago I remember reading about how several hundred avatars got access to internal testing names by mistake. Eventually all the accounts were closed. Whether the owners got their inventory transferred to a new avatar or not I do not know. Today I was at Orange Island attending a meeting when I see a “Zaime OrangeTeam” appear on my radar. Right off the bat I know she’s got the wrong name as she asks publicly “What is this place and who are you listening too. A quick check of her profile shows she’s a day old. I talk to her in IM and she tells me signed up through the Dublin portal. An Orange island officer joins us and tells us he has no option but to report this to Linden Labs. Wholly understandable as they have an image to protect.

I felt pretty bad for her knowing her avatar will be killed off pretty soon, So I told her to write down my name. When she comes back with a new avatar I promised to spiff her up with some  clothes and take her to as many freebie places as I can to make up for her lost time. What else could I do?

So if you see a newby with an obviously inappropriate name you better warn them they are in for a recall  as the lab will find their mistake and take corrective action sooner, rather than later.
