Lingerie with Seven Laces

Are any of you related to one of those hyper-competent, skilled and driven arts and crafts geniuses who can start a new hobby one month and be teaching the next, creating original patterns within six months and have their work in books, magazines and national collections within a year or two? Maybe that sounds extreme, but my sister is just that sort of person.
When I wanted to take up a craft hobby, I wanted to do something she had not done so my slow fumblings would not be constantly compared to hers. More than 20 years older than me, she had a long head start so when I asked if there were any crafts she had not done, she had to think a long time. She finally came up with lace-making. Garnering her generous promise not to take up that hobby for at least 5 years, I began lace-making, eventually doing quite well with tatting, Battenburg, needle lace and cutwork. (Bobbin lace looks like my cats would have way to much fun!!!) Some things I have made are way too many handmade lace christening caps, tablecloths, some clothes, etc. Very fine quality for gifts, but nothing to write a book about.
That is why this lovely lingerie from Carnal caught my eye immediately. The crisp contrast between the black and the white, the many layers of lace, the almost tuxedo like neatness of the lines combine to make it an attention-grabbing set of lingerie. However, since so much lingerie is difficult to wear under clothing, I can resist a lot of great lingerie. What made this irresistible was the combination of laces, almost a Whitman’s Sampler of lace. Lots more at It’s Only Fashion.
