Make Mine Malacca

The blog title was just a moment of mourning for the passing of the finest gin ever made when Bombay discontinued their wonderful Bombay Malacca a few years ago, leaving me to settle for the fine, but decidedly not as fine Bombay Sapphire. Ever since I saw The Bar, I have been wanting to shoot there, but also wanted to wear a dress that suited its rich palette. The Arioso dress from Blaze that I got at the RFL Fashion Expo a few weeks ago was what I was looking for.

I tried shooting there, and I couldn’t get the lighting quite right. Really nice job.
Oops that was me. Gotta remember to make sure the hubby is logged out first. XD
I ended up having to put on a facelight – something I seldome wear. I use the PFX Personal Facelight Designer that allows me to choose the color, brightness and radius as well as position of the lights through chat. I seldom use a facelight as I like the natural look of light and shadow on our faces, but I did need it here. I used a pinkish light to try to match the effect of the bar’s lighting textures.
